Rates & Policies
Tuition
Tuition is due at the time of registration. Tuition will be withdrawn from your bank account or debit card on the 15th of each month ending on June 1st.
Registration Fee: $25 per dancer or $40 for a family.
Monthly Tuition:
- First class $105
- Two Classes $210
- Three classes $295
- Unlimited classes (within age group): $315/month
If your tuition is returned from your bank account, a $30 fee will be assessed. In addition, if your auto-pay is declined, there is a $20.00 late fee. If your child's tuition is not reconciled by the 30th of the month, he or she will be disenrolled. Automatic Payment is required. Tuition payment is required to receive any Recital items.
**TUITION IS DUE ON THE 15th OF EVERY MONTH. IF TUITION IS NOT PAID OR ABLE TO BE PROCESSED AUTOMATICALLY, A $20 LATE FEE WILL BE ACCESSSED!! IN ADDITION, YOUR DANCER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR ASSIGNED CLASSES OR PERFORMANCES UNTIL TUITION HAS BEEN PAID.
Automatic Payment
Auto Payment is required for your child to register. There will be a 3.5% convenience fee added to your payment. Your recital fee and tuition will be set for auto draft on set due dates.
Uniform Fees
Class Uniform will given in a DanzStar Fashionable box with all of your dance uniform items, except your shoes. Please visit Dance Outfitters on 1032 Volvo Blvd Suite 2 Chesapeake, VA.

DanzStar Studio Policies & Rules
Welcome to DanzStar! Thank you for choosing a faith-based dance studio where we nurture discipline, creativity, and confidence. To maintain a safe, organized, and uplifting environment, please review the policies below.
Charges to Your Account

DanzStar is not responsible for any bank return fees.

Late fees are not reversible unless an error has occurred on DanzStar’s part.

All merchandise transactions include a 6% sales tax.

Autopay is required for all monthly tuition and recital fees.

All other charges (merchandise, events, and add-on fees) will be sent in a statement for your review and approval before processing.
Recital Fees (No-Refund Policy)
All recital-related fees are non-refundable, including but not limited to:

Costume fees

Recital participation fees
-
Recital packages
-
Tickets (once purchased)
Exception:
A refund may only be issued in the event of a documented medical emergency that prevents your dancer from performing.
Reason:
Recital fees are disbursed in advance to secure our venue, costumes, production team, photographers, equipment, and additional vendors. These funds cannot be retrieved once paid out.
Attendance

Please log in to your DanceStudio Pro portal, click “Attendance,” and mark your dancer as absent when needed.

If your dancer is more than 15 minutes late, they must take notes due to missing warm-up, which is crucial for safety.

Tuition is not prorated for missed classes for any reason.

Makeup classes are offered only if the class is canceled by the instructor.

Any dancer who misses more than three classes after March will not be permitted to participate in the Finale Recital, as consistent attendance is essential for choreography and staging.
Dress Code

Dancers must wear the required class uniform, which promotes unity, proper technique, and professionalism.

All uniform packages must be purchased through your DSP portal under “Online Store.”

The following items are not permitted: baggy t-shirts, jeans, spaghetti straps, baggy shorts, loose jewelry, or inappropriate attire.

Hair must be pulled back and secured; ballet dancers must wear a bun.

Ballet and jazz shoes can be purchased at Dance Outfitters (1036 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA).
Withdrawing Enrollment

To withdraw from the program, you must email admin@danzstar.com
by the 15th of the month to avoid being charged for the next month’s tuition.

Withdrawal requests received after the 15th will result in the next month’s tuition being charged.

In-person withdrawals will not be accepted.
-
Withdrawals after January 1st require full tuition payments through the end of the season unless an unforeseen circumstance occurs and is reviewed by the Director.
Class Cancellations

Classes may be canceled by the Director due to inclement weather, power outages, or other safety concerns.

Notifications will be sent via email, Band App, Facebook, and Instagram.
-
Canceled classes will not be rescheduled unless additional rehearsal is necessary for an upcoming performance.
Studio Announcements

All announcements are communicated through email, Band App, the student portal, and our website.

If you do not check emails frequently, please ensure you are signed up for the Band App for instant notifications.
Lobby Policy

Parents are not permitted to wait in the lobby or observe classes unless otherwise announced.

Please drop off and pick up your child at the entrance to maintain a focused and safe class environment.

Running, yelling, or disruptive behavior in the lobby area is prohibited to respect ongoing classes.
Parent Observation
-
Parents may not enter studio classrooms during instruction unless authorized by an instructor or the Director.

Parents waiting to speak with staff should refrain from cell phone use and remain respectful of the studio space.

Parent Observation Weeks are held in November and March, allowing families to watch via Zoom.

Reminders for observation weeks will be emailed in advance.
