Tuition

Tuition is due at the time of registration. Our registration fee is $25 per dancer or $40 for a family. Tuition will be withdrawn from your bank account or debit card on the 1st of each month until June.

One class a week is $105.00 per month.

If your tuition is returned from your bank account, a $30 fee will be assessed. In addition, if your auto-pay is declined, there is a $20.00 late fee. If your child's tuition is not reconciled by the 30th of the month, he or she will be disenrolled. Automatic Payment is required. Tuition payment is required to receive any Recital items.

Automatic Payment

Auto Payment is required for your child to register. There will be a 3.5% convenience fee added to your payment. Your recital fee and tuition will be set for auto draft on set due dates.

Policies

**Charges to Your Account**

Danzstar is not responsible for any bank return fees. Late fees will not be reversed unless there is an error on Danzstar's part. All merchandise transactions are subject to a 6% sales tax. Autopay is required and applies only to monthly tuition and recital fees. All other charges will be sent to you in a statement for review and approval before processing.

**Attendance**

Please log in to your DanceStudio Pro portal and click on "Attendance" to mark your child as absent. If your child is more than 10 minutes late for class, they will need to take notes due to missing the warm-up portion of the class. Tuition will not be prorated for any missed class for any reason. A makeup class will be provided only if the class is canceled by the instructor. If a dancer misses more than three classes after March, they will not be able to participate in our FINALE RECITAL.

**Dress Code**

Your dancer needs to wear the uniform according to the class's dress code. Uniforms promote an attitude of unity and teamwork and allow the instructor to see the technique without layers of clothing.

All uniform packages must be purchased through your child’s portal. Click on "Online Store" to buy your child’s uniform for class.

Baggy t-shirts, baggy shorts, jeans, spaghetti straps, loose jewelry, or any inappropriate attire are not permitted in the studio. Hair should be pulled away from the face, preferably in a bun for ballet. Ballet and jazz shoes can be purchased at Dance Outfitters, located at 1036 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA.

**Withdrawing Enrollment**

If you wish to withdraw yourself or your child during the season, you must notify our staff by email no later than the 15th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month's tuition. Notifications received after this date will incur responsibility for the upcoming month's tuition. All withdrawal notices must be sent to admin@danzstar.com. In-person withdrawals will not be considered. Any withdrawals after January 1st will result in full tuition being charged until the end of our season, unless there is an unforeseen circumstance.

**Class Cancellations**

Classes may be canceled by the Director due to inclement weather, power outages, or any situation that prevents instruction. You will receive an email notification and updates via our Band App, Facebook, and Instagram. Canceled classes will not be rescheduled unless practice is needed for a performance.

**Studio Announcements**

Announcements are communicated via email, the Band App, and are posted on the student portal and website. Information includes studio performances, adjusted schedules, makeup classes, costume due dates, teacher announcements, performance makeup, performance attire, and mandatory rehearsals. If you do not check your emails regularly, please sign up for the Band App to receive notifications quickly. See the Director for details about the app.

**Lobby Policy**

Parents are not allowed to watch classes or wait in the lobby area. Please drop off and pick up your child at the entrance to help ensure our students remain focused during class and to avoid congestion at the door. Running, yelling, or disruptive behavior in the lobby area is not permitted to respect the classes in session.

**Parent Observation**

Parents are not permitted to enter the studio during class hours unless authorized by an instructor or the director. If you are waiting to speak to a staff member or the director, please refrain from using your cell phone and wait patiently for assistance. In November and March, our studio will host "Parent Observation" week, allowing you to watch your child’s dance session via Zoom. Our staff will send reminders home before these dates.
